The Summer Selling Season

The Summer Selling Season

It is that time of year when we prepare for the Summer Selling Season of the Green Market. The last Winter Selling Season market will be Saturday morning April 26 from 9 am until 12 noon. May 2 will be the first Friday night Summer Market outside on the front lawn from 4pm until 8pm.  Mark your calendars now to join us every Friday night, rain or shine, from May through October.

Applications are being accepted for both Summer Vendors and Artisan Craft Vendors. We host Artisan Craft Vendors during our Artisan Craft Fairs in May and October as well as for Christmas on the Farm in December. Summer Vendors are welcome to join us for the season or on a weekly basis.  The Vendor Handbook and Vendor Application can be found on our website at www.traderspointcreamery.com. Visit the Farmers Market webpage once you are on the website. If you have any questions, direct them to the Market Master at acampbell@tpforganics.com.

Earth Day Activities

Lots of places are planning activities to celebrate Arbor Day and Earth Day.  Arbor Day is typically reserved for planting trees while Earth Day usually focuses on cleaning up a particular area. Some groups have combined the festivities for both into Spring Festivals.  Check local planning guides and calendars for complete listings of activities all around town.  Here, we've listed a few of our favorites.

Celebrate Earth and Arbor Day at Zion Nature Center's 2nd annual Z'GreenFest. Discover the earth from the inside of a 20 foot earth balloon, see live birds of prey, and enjoy live music.  Other earth friendly activities include interactive educational exhibits, guided hikes, farmers market, silent auction, raffle, food, fun and more! In case of rain, the event will take place in
the Eagle Elementary gymnasium.  Free.

The 19th Annual Orchard in Bloom Garden Show will be held at Holliday Park May 1-4th.  This year's theme is "Go Green!  Get Inspired!"  This year's event will feature a farmers market for the first time.  Check out ticket information, dates and times at www.orchardinbloom.org or call 317-251-9253.

Recipe of the Week

This week's recipe comes from our very own Sous Chef, Emily.  She 's created our new  signature Ranch dressing for our restaurant, The Loft.   We call it Emily's "Farm Ranch" Dressing.  Request it on your next salad.
