Bring your family and friends to our weekly Farmers Market and share an old fashioned 4TH OF JULY PICNIC DINNER, complete with Sparklers, Flags, Horseshoes, and even Corn Hole games!
The Organic menu will feature 100% Grassfed Burgers, Brats & Hot Dogs, Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Portabella Burgers, Baked Beans and Coleslaw.
A la carte Festive Desserts include Traders Point Ice Cream, and Red, White, and Blue Shortcake made with Strawberries and Blueberries.
$15.00 per person (kids under 10 $6.50)
Meal includes Lemonade, Ice Tea or Milk

The Green Market
Shop for your holiday weekend at the Green Market and celebrate our Country’s independence with a feast of local foods! Getting together to meet and eat is a beautiful thing that EVERYONE can enjoy. This week look for some new items: blueberries and garlic scapes from LIFE Farm, along with 4 new ice cream flavors from Swiss Connection (Cranberry, Cookie Dough, Granola, Mocha & Peanut). You just never know what amazing treats await you here at the Green Market. We’ll see you on Friday!

The Green Market runs from 4-8pm every Friday night from now through October. Please be prepared as most of the vendors accept only cash and check for payment.
Recipe of the Week
RECIPE: BRAISED RED OR GREEN CABBAGE
John Ferree of Seldom Seen Farm is our undisputed Cabbage King. Check out this simple recipe that shows off his tasty Brassica.
Ingredients:
1 red or green cabbage
1 med onion
3Tb butter
1Tb sherry vinegar
1 bay leaf
salt/pepper
1/2c water
1 apple
Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage. Cut in half, remove the core, and slice the cabbage very thin. Peel the onion and slice very thin.
In a large pan, heat the butter, add the onion, and cook for 5 minutes. Put the cabbage, vinegar, bay leaf, salt and pepper, and water in. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Peel and grate the apple, add it to the cabbage, and cook for another 5 minutes. Taste and correct the seasoning, and serve. Serves 4-6
