Cow of the Month!

Cow of the Month!

Little Lucy is our cow of the month! The staff and visitors at the farm love Lucy because she looks different from the other baby cows because of her coloring. She is darker than the rest and has a white star on her forehead. She loves to run around, kick her feet and play with the other babies.....and she is only 2 months old! She currently resides in the Hoop House with the other calves in the pasture and plans to  spend the rest of her life munching on grass and mooooo'ing around!  Come out to the farm and meet Lucy and her friends....they LOVE having their necks scratched!!

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!

Gobble, gobble, gobble!  It’s that time of year again when we celebrate Thanksgiving Day with family and friends.  On many dinner tables the illustrious turkey will be the centerpiece of the feast.  Did you know that there are several growers that raise Organic turkeys, and there might still be a chance to order one?  Please contact these producers directly to place your order.

Healthy Milk from Healthy Cows!

Healthy Milk from Healthy Cows!

Why is Grass-Fed more Healthy you may ask yourself? Because of CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid).  It is a "good" fatty acid that has been shown to offer a host of health benefits, including lowering cholesterol and triglycerides, strengthening the immune system, lowering insulin resistance, and enhancing muscle growth!!!!

6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) butter
12 ounces assorted fresh wild mushrooms, sliced
3 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
