...And That's No Bull!!

...And That's No Bull!!

On Mother's Day we offered our gratitude to the "Moms" on The Farm for the wonderful life-sustaining milk they provide, but Hey! It's Father's Day. Let's give some credit to the Bulls!

Life for the bulls here at Traders Point Creamery is pretty easy.  Weighing in at over 1000 pounds, they spend their days out on the pasture mixing with the "Girls", while eating over 100 pounds of grass each day and keeping the herd under control. While a mother cow contributes by producing 1 offspring a year, a bull will sire 50 to 60 calves in one year!

Thanks to the traits passed along by these Fathers, we continue to grow our herd of Brown Swiss noted for their longevity and ability to reproduce longer than other breeds, their gentle nature, and their quality milk high in protein and beneficial fats.

The role of the Brown Swiss Bull is not to be overlooked...and that's No Bull!!

The weather may be unpredictable this year, but our market vendors shine brightly every week. If they're not out on the pasture under their tents, please look for them in the Red Barn. If you are an organic home baker (or would like to become one), Fields of Agape has just taken an extra customer service step to make that easier for you. Stop by for a bag or three of their chemical-free, Indiana-grown red or white wheat and flax seed, and they will grind it into flour for you on the spot at no extra charge!

Pet Lover's bakery is back from vacation to provide your best animal friends with wholesome treats, and TraceyClean makes her June appearance with an incredible line-up of earth-friendly household cleaning products. Finally, our produce growers are bringing more fruits and veggies every week. With variety like that, who needs the grocery store?
