Tamale Night and "Salsa" on The Deck!
Friday, July 25th 5:00-8:00pm Music until 9:00pm
Join us for Festive Music and "Salsa Dancing" on the Deck until 9pm. Experience not necessary - we have a Salsa instructor, as well as a host of Latin-American Interns who will be happy to share their moves!
Our dinner will feature a selection of fantastic Homemade, Organic Tamales!
Choose two Tamales from Cheddar Chorizo, Mango Chicken, Black Bean Goat Cheese, and our new Triple Cheese blue corn tamale featuring Traders Point Spicy Fromage. Our Chefs are also making delicious homemade, organic salsas; Heirloom Tomato, Tomatillo and Mango for our Tamale Bar. Field Greens with Orange Slices and Jicama and tortilla chips will accompany each meal.
We will also offer a kid-friendly tamale choice served with chips, salad and mild salsa.
All meals come with Lemonade, Iced Tea or Milk.

As many of you know, we had a fabulous Wine, Cheese and Jazz Party last Thursday! The warm, beautiful weather created a perfect opportunity to sit out on our idyllic deck with fine wines and cheeses. The soft jazz musicians added to the ambience of a beautiful summer evening. Fortunately for those who missed out, we're planning on hosting another Wine Event! Just a quick reminder that you can win a lot of amazing prizes simply by telling us what you like about Traders Point Creamery!!
To celebrate our Five Year Anniversary, we would like to invite you to share your experiences of the Farm with us, and write an essay describing the Traders Point Products and/or our Organic Family Farm Practices that have impacted your lives.
We don’t mind how you portray your views to us; whether it’s as an essay or a poem – or any other kind of literature.
Of course, with every good competition there’s a very good prize. There will be Awards for the best essays in four age groups:
Toddler – 7 years A $50 Gift certificate (that’s a lot of ice cream!)
8 – 12 years A $100 Gift certificate and a super tour of the farm with 3 friends and lunch.
13 -17 years A $150 Gift Certificate and a super tour of the farm with 3 friends and lunch
18 years and over A $500 scholarship for furthering your studies.
Things to consider…
• Has all the educational information been helpful?
• Have you considered what you eat before you eat it?
• Are you looking at food labels to see what’s in your food or more importantly, what’s Not in it?
• Do you appreciate the farm and where it is located? Is it cool to have a milking farm in the middle of suburbia?

Summer is in full swing here at the Green Market at Trader’s Point Creamery! The Green Market runs from 4-8pm every Friday night from now through October. Please be prepared as most of the vendors accept only cash and check for payment.
Recipe of the Week
Grilled Figs with Orange-Honey Drizzle
makes 4 servings
For the Drizzle
1/4 c Rob's honey from Bluffwood Creek
2 tsp frozen orange juice concentrate
1/8 tsp herbes de Provence
12 fresh mission figs, halved
4 oz Mt.Tam triple cream cheese from Cowgirl Creamery
Baguette from Maria at Valentine Hill, sliced & toasted
1) Set up grill for direct cooking over medium heat. Oil grate when ready to start cooking. Meanwhile, for the drizzle, in a small saucepan, combine honey, orange juice, and herbes de Provence. Simmer over medium heat for 2 minutes. Set aside.
2) Lightly oil cut sides of figs. Place figs, cut side down, on hot , oiled grill. Cook for 2-4 minutes or until figs are tender and marked. Serve fig halves and cheese on bread slices. Top with orange-honey drizzle
